How do the events work?Each companion from the Veilguard will have a week dedicated to them.We will announce the prompts for everyone’s weeks in advance, with one or several prompts for each day. Creators are encouraged to use those prompts to make fanworks focusing on the character of the week, though each week will have at least one free day to let everyone’s imagination run wild.You can submit several entries for one day, or create only one work for the entire week — the approach is completely up to you.Make sure to tag your submissions with #DATVDavrin2026 or tag us with @datvcompanionweeks in your post, so we can see and reblog them!How closely should I follow the prompts?You are free to interpret the prompts as you wish — there is no way to get them wrong. You are also allowed to create works based on original ideas not covered by the prompts, or combine prompts from several days in one work.What kind of works are accepted?Any kind! You may create fics, art, edits, and any other types of fanworks – as long as they celebrate the character of the week, and don’t break any of our rules, they are a perfect fit for the event.Are late submissions allowed?Yes, you are free to post submissions even after the event is over. Just make sure to @ us or use the tag mentioned above, so we don’t miss them!Can submissions include ships/other characters besides the character of the week?You can include any ships or other characters in your submission, as long as it prominently features the character of the week and they don’t get overshadowed by other characters/relationships.

Rules

1. No harassment of any participants for any reason.2. All fanworks should be new for this event— although, they need not be complete! Please feel free to continue working on them, if you feel inspired.3. Subjects that could be potentially disturbing (violence, gore, non/dub-con, death, abuse, etc.) and NSFW must be tagged. The mod team will not be adding additional content tags this year, so any work not tagged appropriately will not be reblogged until the OP has included appropriate tags.4. This event will not tolerate any disparagement of characters or people based on gender identity, race, religion, sexuality, or other traits.5. This is a celebration of human creativity in fandom! Please don't use generative AI apps (ex: ChatGPT, MidJourney) to generate any text, images, or art assets for this challenge. Plagiarism will also not be tolerated.
